Dear Graduating Senior,

On behalf of La Fondation Rose et Verte de Louisiane, in partnership with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® and the Phi Sigma Omega Chapter in Gonzales, Louisiana, we wish you a joyful and successful semester as you prepare to graduate from high school. We understand that your academic journey has not been easy, yet you have persevered and achieved many of your goals. Now is the time to look forward to reaching even greater accomplishments.

The members of Phi Sigma Omega are honored to support you in pursuing your future goals. Our chapter is offering four (4) scholarship awards in the following amounts: one $1,200 award, one $800 award, and two $500 awards. Applicants must be graduating female students who plan to attend a Historically Black University (HBCU) and reside in St. John, St. James, Ascension, or West Baton Rouge Parish.

To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must complete the online application and upload all required documents through our website at: https://www.phisigmaomega.com/scholarship

 

Required materials include:

  • A completed online application

  • A copy of a 7-semester high school transcript

  • A copy of ACT or SAT scores

  • One letter of reference

  • Participation in a fifteen-minute (15-minute) candidate Zoom interview

 

The application deadline is March 13, 2026, and scholarship recipients will be notified by email.
